There are lots of districts, and some have different hunting season dates and regulations for whitetail deer and mule deer. Basically, in some areas, dates may slightly change, or you may have to wait to take antlered deer, etc. Be sure to read the 2018 – 2019 regulations when they are produced by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks.
What is the 2 day youth hunt?
The 2018 youth hunt will take place on October 18 & October 19, 2018. An Apprentice Hunter is a resident or nonresident, 10-17 years of age, certified at an MT Fish, Wildlife & Parks office. Montana state Legislature allows youth 10-17 years of age to hunt without completing the hunter education course. Get more information on youth hunting opportunities here.
Where are the 2019 dates?
Deer hunting season concludes shortly after Thanksgiving in 2018. Catch your deer before then, as you will have to wait for the 2019 season before you can take any deer in 2019.
